MODULE 06 · LESSON 3 · 8 MIN
The System Mindset
Goal: Internalize the discipline contract before touching deeper mechanics.
The signal is the start of your read. Not the end. That sentence appears in the official SENSEI guide and it is the most important sentence in this entire arc.
The system is mechanical so that you don't have to be emotional. It scores nine independent dimensions on bar close, enforces four hard gates, and fires a tier-classed signal only when the math clears. Your job is not to second-guess the math mid-bar. Your job is the part math cannot do: confirm structure with your eyes, size for volatility, honor the stop, and bank profit when it is offered.
Three behaviors separate people who extract value from this system from people who donate:
Bar-close discipline. Every dimension is evaluated on confirmed closes. A signal that looks like it is forming mid-bar does not exist yet. Acting early is trading a signal the system never fired.
One playbook per regime. A choppy market and an explosive market are different games (M09 covers this). The system adapts; you must too. Same entry logic, different exit expectations.
Loss acceptance. A stopped trade where the extreme genuinely failed is the system working, not failing. The stop is placed where the thesis is wrong. When it hits, the thesis was wrong — pay the small bill and wait for the next one.
Takeaways
- ▸ The indicator does the scanning and scoring; you do confirmation, sizing, and discipline.
- ▸ Nothing exists until bar close.
- ▸ A clean stop-out is tuition, not betrayal.
Checkpoint
Answer all questions correctly to complete the lesson. Misses reset for another pass — no penalty.
1. A signal 'forms' mid-bar and vanishes by close. You:
2. You get stopped on a clean sweep-reclaim setup. This is:
3. The human's jobs in this system:
